Izamal The Yellow Magical Town

Izamal The Yellow Magical Town

Mexico has 121 cities with “magical” designation & IZAMAL was the first one.

Hey!! Let’s have fun & learn a lot of the Mayan Traditions in this adventure at one of them, IZAMAL, known as “the city of the three cultures” due to its Mayan, Colonial, and Contemporary influences.

The first thing you will notice is that the entire town—market, buildings, convent, everything—is painted a cheery shade of yellow.

I will take you to visit the highlights, including a beautiful Convent of San Antonio de Padua, The Mayan Ruins in the middle of the town (where I will take you to climb one of the tallest temple in the Yucatan Peninsula with an amazing landscape from the top, the Kinich Kak Mo Temple, which translates as “Fire Macaw”), I will teach you all about this enchanting city, which could be the oldest colonial city, within which five pyramids stand.

Lastly my favorite part, our Gastronomical Adventure is coming, where we’ll visit the MOST traditional restaurant in the town, I am really sure you will love it!!!
